What does it mean to be a M.A.D. volunteer?
Philanthropy in and of itself means the love of humans. At Make-A- Day, we reflect that sentiment in every interaction we have with those we serve.
To us, choosing to come and volunteer means that you have a willingness and desire to interact with our guests in a way that sparks joy, ignites hope, and restores a piece of humanity that has been lost. You can leave the training, education, and planning to us; we will share how you can start serving today!
Volunteer Roles
M.A.D. volunteers serve at our bi-monthly Pop-Up events, serving food, checking in guests, connecting them to resources, managing our salon, and most importantly, building relationships. View all the ways you can volunteer and sign-up using the button below.
Become a Volunteer
All M.A.D. volunteers are encouraged to watch our Volunteer Orientation recording, and complete a Volunteer Waiver and Release of Liability Form before volunteering at their first Pop-Up outreach event.
Become a M.A.D. Stylist
M.A.D. stylists provide free haircuts and shaves to guests at our Pop-Up events. Stylists must be licensed barbers and/or cosmetologists. Check out our Volunteer Stylist Fact Sheet for more information.
