Pop-Up Events
Make-A-Day’s pop-up events are designed to drive meaningful outcomes by creating opportunities for individuals to reconnect with their community and take steps toward long-term economic stability. These events, which include free food and haircuts provided by volunteer barbers and stylists, foster trust and build relationships that are essential for re-engaging with critical resources in employment, legal support, health care, housing, and social services.
Rather than simply offering immediate relief, our focus is on outcomes that move individuals closer to self-sufficiency. We prioritize the creation of spaces where people feel supported, empowered, and valued, giving them the tools to pursue greater economic justice and opportunity.
Through the collaboration of dedicated volunteers, our Community Outreach Team, and partner agencies, we host these events six times a year at various locations. We ensure that individuals have the support and guidance to build lasting connections, advance toward employment, and achieve long-term stability. This coordinated approach strengthens community infrastructure and fosters a sense of belonging, enabling individuals to take the next step on their path to economic empowerment and justice.
